Description

As I needed to increase my productivity in spring (after a very busy autumn and winter), I reached out to a local orchard/farm that I hadn't been to for at least five years to ask for permission to access their property at sunrise to photograph the apple trees as their blossoms were in full bloom.

As always the case, it is such an invigorating sensation to be out before the sun gets out of bed, and the bees begin to do their pollinating thing. The bees buzzing and the fragrant scent of the blossoms sets the tone for me to try to capture something worth sharing.

About the title: Trading Fours is a jazz term where musicians take turns playing four measures at at time during the improvised section of a composition. As it relates to this photograph, I felt that the blooming apple trees in the foreground and the silo, mist and farm house in the background lent itself perfectly to this title.
