The Olympic Seashore is one of the last primeval reaches of the Pacific Coast. The whole reason for coming to the shore. Stay an hour alone at night with the drift logs and moon. Walk the beach at sunrise when the sea is burnished with the gold of the sky; and walk it in the fog when the offshore islands are dark hulks and the shoreline spruce black etchings.
