This watercolor makes my heart ache . I am 80 year old former owner and sailor of Alden 43 and 55 ft schooners. The eye will never be full. Thank you James.
James Williamson replied:
Not to worry. We'll all be back again and again and again to ply the waves. If not on Earth then some other water world. It just keps on going. That's my story and I'm sticking with it !

Jim, this is a stunning painting and one that I will return to many times over to study and admire! As a lover of all things nautical, I just got a booster shot smelling the salt air and taking me away for awhile from a very bitterly cold Pennsylvania winter. Congratulations on a well deserved sale my friend. All the best from a sailor at heart!
James Williamson replied:
It shall be warm again! Thank you for your positive commnets. I am originally from Pittsburg, PA. Living out here in the Pacific Northwest I have assimilated the nautical mood. Lots of water out her. People love their boats. Jim

Stunning painting! I love the way you have created sparkling reflections on the waves. v/f
James Williamson replied:
Elaine: Thank you for your positive comments. Your aviation paintings are excellent. Love the Vulcan. I saw one fly at Whidbey Naval Air Station - Washington State. Also love the Tornado.

The incredible thing is that this 99-year-old National Historic Landmark schooner still sails Puget Sound waters here in the Pacific Northwest. I wonder if it's possible to let the person know, who bought this gorgeous painting, that we'd love to know why he or she bought it - and if they have a connection to our beautiful historic ship. I'm the Executive Director of the nonprofit Sound Experience which owns and operates Adventuress as our region's environmental tall ship. If the buyer would like to share his/her story - or would like to sail aboard sometime, he/she can reach me at mail@soundexp.org. It's simply a gorgeous painting.
James Williamson replied:
Greetings: The original is hanging in my studio. I found a place where people can view it. (Fine Art America) I have also painted the ZODIAC and Russian Tall Ship PALLADA. Among many others. Thank You for your positive comments.
